Prue lectures in the Unitec Business School.  Her teaching and research interests include: Interpersonal communication, team dynamics, action learning, sand immigrant entrepreneurship.

After serving a number of years on the executive, Prue was made a Life Member of the New Zealand Communication Association in 2004, and is currently the President.

Since its inception in 2000 Prue has edited the NZCA’s sponsored, refereed Communication Journal of New Zealand – He Kōhinga Kōrerero.   Special editions of this Journal have also been guest edited by New Zealand’s leading communication scholars including Dr Yunxia Zhu, Dr Alan Cocker, Dr Wayne Hope, Assoc. and Professor Margie Comrie.  

Private consulting through Prudent Communicationhas taken a backseat while Prue is researching immigrant entrepreneurs for her PhD.
