To promote the exchange of ideas and opinion through networking.
To facilitate collaboration between industry and academia in the fields of personal and public communication.
To be the public voice of communication professionals in New Zealand.

The NZCA logo symbolises the synergic partnership between business and education, created and maintained through communication. The left arc represents New Zealand's business and industrial enterprises while the right arc represents educational institutes. These integrate through communication. It depicts how both constitutents strive to achieve and maintain communication excellence for the common good.
