Guidelines for Presenters: 2011
- All rooms are equipped with computer and datashow.
- It is suggested that you bring your presentation in the two following formats to allow for unforeseen problems:
− e-mailed to yourself at a web-based site such as gmail or hotmail.
- Plan to speak for about 15-20 minutes, with 5-10 minutes for questions. The chairperson will keep you strictly to time to ensure the programme runs smoothly, and to allow people to move between parallel presentation streams.
- Speak directly to your audience; reading a whole presentation from notes is much less interesting.
- Use simple clear visual aids; large dense blocks of text distract the audience.
- You can provide written material for the audience to read later if you wish.
